OUR MISSION

The GAÏDZ Foundation seeks to promote the study and preservation of the Classical Armenian heritage and language focusing on the manuscripts of the Armenian version of the Bible and of Armenian commentaries on the Bible as well as the text and manuscript-illuminations and the role of all the above in defining the Armenian identity through the centuries. We aim to facilitate opportunities for promoting research on the Armenian Bible and subjects associated with it as well as strengthening the Armenian community through projects and events based on our research and study. We aim to serve the academic community and the heirs of the Classical Armenian heritage transcending Church boundaries and denominational diversities. We hope to carry out innovative educational projects that globalize Armenian theological and historical studies, making it available through the internet in every university, classroom, library and home. This foundation supports various initiatives and efforts to strengthens our knowledge of the Classical Armenian heritage and diversify intellectual inquiry in every aspect associated with the Armenian version of the Bible and its manuscripts.
